Eclosion

First

it oozed

slowly and thickly

snakelike

in its waving motion

and shape.

Then

it burst forth,

like a pre-birth storm

wetting

the cracked earth,

lustily

leveling and mounting

crags,

promontories,

infinitely bottomless

crevices

resetting the cycle

and pushing forth

life.
